Hong Yuk Sui should not even be a manager

She is so rude. She is always late. She texts msg and yarns when others are talking. She falls asleep during the social gathering. The low-ranked pathetic loser writers at TVB probably think these are signs of her as a successful 女strong人,but the truth is the real 女strong人 will always act professionally (on time, not yarns or falls asleep), especially if dealing with critically important Japanese clients, no matter how tired she is. Being on time is especially important with Japanese business men. But she was late to the point that the other side already got fed up and decided to leave.

My friend was a late for work after OTing for over a week. The Executive Director ran into her in the lobby and reminded her not to be late again. She felt she was right citing the overtime she had done. The ED explained that she could officially claim paid time off to make up for the overtime. But she could not be late using that as an excuse.

Right on! If you are late , you are wasting the time of people who work with you and the clients do not know what to expect. But if you claim official time off, people know what to expect and can make arrangement accordingly. This is the difference in thinking between the ED and a low-ranked worker.

I can cite other similar examples.

A successful business woman also said in an interview that it didnt matter how late she had socialized the night before, she was always on time in the office the next day.

Lee Ga Sing also said in an interview that it didnt matter how late he stayed up to read, he always woke up at the same time the next day. To help him convince himself, he didnt look at the clock before he fell asleep if he was staying up really late.

A lawyer volunteered for a grass-root project with under-priviledged kids I organized. It was a weekly program and it ran for 20 months. The lawyer might not sign up every week, but if she did sign up, she was always early, and extremely patient with the kids. Never late or no show, not even once. We are grass roots with problematic kids, not a big organization with business men. She couldnt get any recognition from us. But this is the work ethics if successful people. On the other hand, the university students are the ones who think being late is ok etc.

Mary Hung's thinking is at the junior level, she should not even be a manager.

Do do and Lisa Wang are famous for being on time. This may explain why they are still standing tall after all these years. You earn respect for good work ethics. Lee Ga Ding, after he has become the hottest chef recently, he said that he always arrives 45 minutes early for filming. I am sure he is busy too with the filming, the new resatuarant, the new book, 8 commercials, and numerous interviews. But he arrives early and prepared.

I just cant think of any successful business person would arrive very late without no apology when meeting with a huge corporate client you desperate want to get business from. Yarning, texting, cant even excuse herself and do it on the side--zero etiqcoporate

Why doesnt these scripters ask their colleagues in the marketing department how they work?

And her vision is so narrow. She is totally self-centered.

The company getting the business is more important than her proving herself that she can take over David's position. Of course, everbody has selfish motive. But you need to have a bit of balance and at least pretend that you care about the department at the office. The kind of things she ran into happens all the times. Projects even get cancelled. You just have to grin and smile. It is included in the salary. You cant rush into the office of senior management and give it the shxx. What you do in private is your iwn business, but you cant rush in without knocking and yell at senior mgmt at the office for everyone would know. And she lets everbody know about it afterwards. The the whole company would know. So where is Max's face? She is no 女strong人。 Her thinking is that of a stupid naive small woman.

It doesnt make sense that Max, who wants to prove himself in front of his Dad so much, would like Mary Hung. He would look for someone younger (instead of looking much older than he is), or much prettier, less bitchy, either more successful or more supportive--but Mary Hung is neither.

Wow, that's a long and thorough description of an individual character. No matter what, the producer should appreciate, treasure viewer's such detail comments.
